  Gymnastics Program

Midwest Gymnastics & Cheerleading, Inc. has extensive programs for children focusing on fundamental motor and basic gymnastic skills designed to enhance coordination, body awareness, and building self-confidence.

The gymnastic program is designed to introduce basic gymnastics as a recreational sport with instruction on the four (4) Olympic events for girls and six (6) for boys. Special emphasis is placed on achievement. Evaluations are given to children with previous gymnastics experience to determine level placement. At the end of each session, performance evaluations are completed for each child based on the curriculum for the level. This helps to determine mobility between levels and allows the child and parent to know how their child is doing. Generally, 80% proficiency at the current level is required to advance. The competitive girls' program begins with a pre-team designed to introduce them to the execution of routines for competition. There are competitive teams at every level, with strong emphasis on dance. The boys' gymnastic program is designed to accommodate all ages an ability levels from beginner through state champion competitive teams of all levels. Program emphasis is toward strength, flexibility, coordination and self-confidence.

All programs are instructed by highly qualified and enthusiastic staff members in a clean, healthy and positive environment.
